Last month was the debut of my brand new trio at the Crescent Jazz Club in Mâcon in which I have the great pleasure to dialogue with Étienne Renard and Jeff Ballard, two musicians I deeply appreciate. An experience from where I learnt a lot exercising the harmonyless configuration trio, let-it-go, and to feel the blazing sensation to step out of the all-written path. All of this was recorded, video and audio, will get back to it very soon !

It's been two months exactly I'm living this crazy experience of being a musician in New York, and yesterday was my very first concert here.

Yesterday, July the 24th was the official release of the first EP by this large ensemble (17 pieces) co-leaded with Hugo Van Rechem and it was at the Baiser Salé in Paris !
"Large ensemble created by Paco Andreo and Hugo Van Rechem, two young arrangers/composers experiencing lack of sleep, a x √R + 15 is an seventeen pieces experimentation, taking its roots in the big-band tradition as well as in the contemporary symphonic music.
References to Ornette Coleman, Henri Dutilleux or Thomas Adès can be heard in their music, as subtles hommage to what they take inspiration from."
